Аннотация: The recent study ‘Controlling Tropical Plant Diseases: Current Research and Innovations’ asks the question, “How can we use beneficial microorganisms to control tropical plant diseases?” These microbes display multifaceted mechanisms with which to battle plant pathogens, and are used in agricultural practices to control plant disease. That is what antagonistic microorganisms are about. This book contains seven chapters presented in a logical progression: (i) introduction to the book; (ii) a background on plant disease, including current and emerging diseases in Thailand; (iii) an overview of antagonistic microorganisms; (iv) the antagonist’s mechanisms; (v) varied applications; (vi) the biological management of plant diseases; and (vii) the formulations of antagonistic microorganisms and bio-fungicides. Examples include current research on antagonistic microorganism as biocontrol agents, and well as to illustrate important learning points. This book will be useful not only to plant pathologists but also microbiologists and biologists as a milestone study on the antagonistic microorganisms.
