Аннотация: Food safety has become an important concern in the recent years all over the world with intensive system of production associated with large centralized processing and increased global trade. Successful commercial food production cannot be achieved if food safety is not assured simultaneously at the same time. There is a strong relationship between the management of food production chain and food safety or food quality. Therefore integration in food chain management simultaneously addressing the public health hazard and their control is of paramount importance.This book covers scientific management of food animals, diagnostic approaches and treatment of animal diseases, parasitic hazards, antemortem examination, postmortem examination, prevention of contamination, sampling and detection of microbiological quality, surveillance and preventive approaches, use of drugs, castration of food animals, use of PCR and food borne risks of meat in North East India.
