Аннотация: Spectroscopic and Photoluminescence of Rare Earth Ions Doped Nano MgO Nano Phosphor can be densified at much lower temperature as compared to large grained powders because of its high surface energy and driving force and the final product will exhibit unique mechanical, optical, magnetic and electrical properties. The Photo luminescence emissions in the present investigation are attributed to the F and F-aggregate center and the same was also confirmed by optical density studies. The optical density studies identified the presence of surface defects in the doped samples. The Photo luminescence emissions in the present investigation are attributed to the f–f or 4f-5d transitions of rare earth (RE3+) ions in the host lattice. It has been observed that the release of holes/electrons form the defect centers are characteristic traps initiate luminescence process in these materials. The calculated CIE coordinates indicate that Rare earth metal ions doped MgO has good color purity. Thus, Rare earth metal ions-activated MgO phosphors have great potential for application in LED and display devices.
