      Аннотация: Colonial Reign in Africa is a book throws light upon the two significant novels of Chinua Achebe Things Fall Apart & Arrow of God, portraying the insight of History, Culture and Politics during the intervention of colonial rule. This book primarily emphasizes on Achebe’s novels during colonial period called Things Fall Apart & Arrow of God has been analyzed to find out how colonial developments in Africa from the beginning of 19th century to the end of the 20th century are reproduced in narratives. The two novels predominantly revolve around the theme of colonialism and cultural hegemony between the traditional African societies and that of the colonial masters.This book has its limited scope in identifying the views of Chinua Achebe for rejuvenating the Nigerian Society in the Post Colonial era. Achebe's contribution in the field of Nigerian literature integrates a large number of his works. Yet to appraise him in terms of the two novels will not be an underestimation. For many a critic, Achebe is the father of the African novel because of his matchless contribution towards the Africanisation. The scope is thus limited to the readings of the novels for understanding the work.
