Аннотация: Transmutation map is the functional arrangement of the cumulative distribution function of one distribution with the reverse cumulative distribution (quantile) function of another. In this research, a cubic transmutation approaches has been introduced to handle complex data (bi-modal data). A new second order transmuted distribution named as cubic transmuted Burr-XII distribution is proposed. Different distributional properties have been studied for the proposed distribution. The maximum likelihood estimation technique has been applied to estimate the model parameters of the proposed distribution. In order to investigate the applicability of the proposed distribution, two real-life datasets have been considered. Several model selection criteria like log-likelihood, AIC, AICc, BIC have been used to decide about goodness of fit of the proposed model for the real-life datasets. It has been observed that the proposed cubic transmuted Burr-XII distribution fits the datasets reasonably well as compared with the other competing distributions considered for this study.
