Nanotechnology: A Weapon in War Against COVID-19.

      Аннотация: The COVID-19 outbreak has fueled a global demand for effective diagnosis and treatment as well as mitigation of the spread of infection, all through large-scale approaches such as specific alternative antiviral methods and classical disinfection protocols. Considering the ongoing corona-virus outbreak, apart from staying at home, people need other items to halt the spread of this respiratory disease. Due mainly to the shortcomings of conventional drug dosage form/ vaccines such as failure to engage the immune system, low stability in vivo, high toxicity, invasive administration, and the issue of their storage and transport at a certain temperature, one of the game-changers of the past decade - Nanotechnology holds great promise in offering innovative solutions to a wide range of problems regarding the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19, through a multidisciplinary Perspective encompassing diverse fields such as virology, biology, medicine, engineering, chemistry, materials science, and computational science, in which nano-technologists undoubtedly play a key role and shoulder their social responsibility.
