      Аннотация: The text book of pharmacology for pharmacy students covers upto date knowledge of the topics included in the syllabus of pharmacology for undergraduate and post graduate pharmacy students. The subject matter is divided into ten chapters Volume I (Chapters I to V) and Volume II (Chapters VI to X) namely General Pharmacology, ANS Pharmacology, CNS Pharmacology, CVS Pharmacology, GIT Pharmacology, Immuno-Pharmacology, Hemato-Pharmacology, Hormonal Pharmacology, Chemotherapy and Toxicology. Each chapter is subdivided into topics and each topic includes definition, general information of the topic, classification of drugs according to the category, up-to-date mechanism, adverse effects, therapeutic uses and doses which will provide knowledge essential to the undergraduate and graduate students of pharmacy and those opt to take up pharmacology as a career. The text of pharmacology will be an asset to all students of allied biomedical disciplines such as Ayurveda, Unani, Dentistry, Nursing and Homeopathy and for biomedical research employing drugs as a tool in the investigation for contributing to the understanding of the basic physiological mechanisms.
