Аннотация: The flexibility of the UN Charter enables the United Nations to establish various institutions to promote and protect human rights. Special Procedures is one of these institutions, the origins of which should be sought in the Commission on Human Rights. After that, by maintaining this institution in its structure, the UN Human Rights Council, which started its activity in 2006, has tried to pave the way for the fight against human rights violations by continuing the practice of these independent experts. The procedure of the rapporteurs is such that it can provide credible information to various agencies and prevent widespread human rights violations against an individual or group of individuals, either globally or in a specific region, by issuing urgent appeals. in this study, the activities of special rapporteurs who have made major contributions in the development of legal knowledge and providing possible solutions in the field of economic, social and cultural rights are discussed. This book will assist International law students, human rights researchers and advocators to become familiar with this mechanism to protect human rights law.
