Аннотация: Dental implants are being widely accepted as a treatment option for replacing missing teeth by dental practitioners and patients in today’s technological era. Dental implants are an important research milestone that has enabled and empowered us to improve the quality of life and the standard of living of partially edentulous patients. There are many factors both biological and prosthesis dependent which affect the success or failure of a dental implant prosthesis. Hence, a complete understanding of all the factors that affect implant success and failure by the clinician is an absolute prerequisite in ensuring a successful implant. The long term success and predictability of this treatment modality has been widely documented in clinical literature.
