Аннотация: Corporate governance has received considerable attention from regional and international institutions and organisations, particularly in the wake of the current financial crisis. This has led to a crisis of confidence in accounting information and governance has become a fertile ground for research and study. The implementation of this work aims to test the relationship between the mechanisms for applying the principles of governance of family enterprises and the Board of Directors of the Rouiba company in Algeria. The results show that there is a close and positive relationship between the governance mechanisms applied in the company. The Board of Directors plays a role in the application of governance principles through the preservation of shareholders' rights. The study concluded that the Board of Directors plays a role in the application of corporate governance principles by preserving shareholders' rights, providing an effective framework for corporate governance, equal treatment of all stakeholders, stakeholders, disclosure and transparency.
