They are a conservative alternative to full coverage restorations for improving the appearance of anterior teeth and have evolved over the last several decades to become esthetic dentistry’s most popular restoration.6Based on their strength, longevity, conservative nature, biocompatibility, and aesthetics, veneers have been considered one of the most viable treatment modalities. Veneers can be used for functional and cosmetic correction of conditions such as: stained or darkened teeth, developmental malformation, including hereditary hypoplasia and certain congenital disorders, multiple diastemas, peg laterals, traumatic fractures and non-vital teeth chipped teeth, lingual positioned teeth, malposed teeth not requiring orthodontics. Esthetic veneers in ceramic materials demonstrate excellent clinical performance and, as materials and techniques have evolved; veneers have become one of the most predictable, most esthetic, and least invasive modalities of treatment.
