Аннотация: Nurse managers and leaders are required to delegate many activities. All nurse managers need to learn how to delegate, and need to know that it is a skill that requires experience and tools. Delegation must be planned and well-coordinated. It is important to remember that delegation increase staff motivation and job satisfaction Successful delegation happens when the nurse manager performs the real and sincere role of the delegator. This happens when nurse managers show to subordinates that delegation is a skill that can be acquired through clinical and managerial critical thinking. Delegation is considered a necessity in the nursing profession and is the only solution to the current and expected nursing shortage including the shortage of qualified nurse managers. Delegation leads to safe, efficient and cost-effective care and helps nursing staff develop their skills.
