Covid-19 in Indian Society: Social Sciences Perspectives.

      Аннотация: This book on Covid-19 from social sciences perspectives is a need of the contemporary academic dialogue and market. Here a comprehensive analysis of the pandemic is made, followed by analysis of its implications on Indian society and particularly on women and education. Book tries to comprehend the pandemic from multiple perspectives including psychological, philosophical, sociological and economic perspectives. 22 chapters of the book cover a wide range of topics covering different perspectives and implications of Covid-19, including on environment, economy, stigma, health, GIS mapping, roles of media, wellness, women as a silent victim, women's domestic responsibilities, disabled women, impact of modernity, domestic violence, changing dynamics of pedagogy and social research, academic-concerns, E-Learning, online education, higher education, etc. It is an outcome of the International Conference on Covid-19 from Social Sciences Perspectives held during July 21-22, 2020, organized by the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya; in collaboration with the RC-12 of Indian Sociological Society, IIT-Guwahati, University of Delhi and others.
