Esthetic Crowns in Pediatric Dentistry.

      Аннотация: With the rise of globalization, dentistry experiences a new arena of awareness where pediatric patients as young as three years of age want to look even better. Well-aligned and well-contoured teeth are indicative of nutritional health and self-esteem of a person. For a pediatric dentist, esthetic management of decayed, deformed or traumatized primary teeth in children is one of the most challenging tasks. There is rapid increase in the awareness among the parents of children to preserve the anterior teeth until exfoliation. There are many options available for full mouth rehabilitation which provides partial and full coronal coverage restoration for primary teeth. Over the past many years, Stainless steel crowns have been used as they are durable, minimal technique sensitive with superior longevity. But, these crowns are not esthetically pleasing and their use is only limited to posterior teeth. From last two decades, higher esthetic demand has led to the introduction of various tooth colored esthetic crowns. Pediatric dentists have the ability to create beautiful smile for these young patients as dental esthetics has become an integral part of facial esthetics.
