The Dutch East India Company (VOC) became the first company in history to issue bonds and shares of stock to the general public. Therefore, this article gives highlights on the corporate aspect of going public, why companies go public, what to consider before investing in shares as well as advantages and disadvantages of Going Public to corporate companies.Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)The African Continental Free Trade Area is a free trade area founded in 2018, but trade commenced in January 2021. The article interrogates the new AfCFTA with specific emphasis on the process of handling trade related disputes among member states.
