Аннотация: The dental caries is not simply a continuous and unidirectional process of the demineralization of the mineral phase, but a cyclic event with periods of demineralizations and remineralization. The remineralization process is a natural repair mechanism to restore the minerals again, in ionic forms, to the hydroxyapatite (HAP) crystal lattice. It occurs under near-neutral physiological pH conditions whereby calcium and phosphate mineral ions are re-deposited within the caries lesion from saliva and plaque fluid resulting in the formation of newer HAP crystals, which are larger and more resistant to acid dissolution. Numerous types of remineralizing agents and remineralizing techniques have been researched and many of them are being used clinically, with significantly predictable positive results. The recent researches on remineralization are based on biomimetic remineralization materials, having the capability to create apatite crystals within the completely demineralized collagen fibers.

Nonfluoridated Remineralizing Agents. An Overview.
1905 г.,  92 стр.,  мягкий переплет
Demineralization starts at the enamel surface as it is the most mineralized tissue of the tooth White-spot lesions are the earliest macroscopic evidence of caries particularly enamel caries. The majority of demineralization in white-spot lesions occurs in the subsurface region of enamel.Typically the enamel surface layer stays intact during...

RECENT ADVANCES IN CARIES REMINERALIZING AGENTS. Caries Remineralizing Agents.
1905 г.,  112 стр.,  мягкий переплет
Dental caries is a highly prevalent multifactorial disease and has been a major public health problem for many centuries. The goal of modern dentistry is to manage non-cavitated caries lesions non-invasively through remineralization in an attempt to prevent disease progression and improve aesthetics, strength, and function. This book gives a...

Recent Advances in Non-Fluoride Remineralizing Agents..
1905 г.,  108 стр.,  мягкий переплет
The era of preventive and minimal invasive dentistry orates the need for developing newer approaches to remineralize early carious lesions. Presently, commercially available non-fluoride-based remineralization therapies focus on enhancing fluoride efficacy and at the same time minimizing the plausible risks associated with fluoride. Nonetheless,...

NON-FLUORIDE REMINERALIZING AGENTS..
1905 г.,  180 стр.,  мягкий переплет
Due to changes in dietary habits and lifestyle, there is an increasing incidence of dental caries. The dynamic balance between demineralization and remineralization determines the progression of the initial non-cavitated lesion. Modern-day dentistry has shifted its focus from Black’s “extension for prevention” to “prevention of...
