      Аннотация: Orthodontic treatment affects all three dimensions however, many of the current tools of diagnosis employ only a two dimensional (2D) representation of the patient. The development of integrated 3D tools for diagnosis and treatment planning as well as highly sophisticated technologies from the fields of digital imaging, computer graphics, robotics, computational analysis and database management are cruzing their way into the speciality. Digital orthodontics has created a paradigm shift in practice management. Dynamic practices of the new millennium with treatment records always at the orthodontist finger tips, orthodontic treatment has streamlined and patient management has reached levels of sophistication never before possible. On the horizon for the modern digital orthodontic practice are numerous three dimensional (3D) imaging programmes, all designed to further our knowledge of growth and development and increase our diagnostic acumen.
