Аннотация: Automation is a set of activities in which human work to manage and maintain equipment is replaced by the operation of automated devices. In conventional engineering, for one-shift work machining time is only 7%(610 hours) of the annual amount of time-8,760 hours. In flexible manufacturing systems(FMS),machining time reaches 75%(6,500 hours).Accuracy improvement shows to what extent the inaccuracy of a workpiece has decreased as a result of machining.A statistical method of estimating accuracy is based on the premises of probability theory and mathematical statistics. It determines the impact of the entire set of factors on the accuracy of machining.A statistical method is universal and can be used to investigate the accuracy of manufacture of workpieces or parts, assembly operations, quality control operations, etc.Tuning machine to a given processing accuracy is done under three basic methods. The first method.Tuning by trial passes and measurements. The second method. One or more tools can be tuned vis-a-vis a gauge or vis-a-vis the first usable part, vis-a-vis a template, or in special devices. The third method. The machine is tuned to process a batch of parts under a sampling method.
