Аннотация: This study investigated influence of climate change adaptation strategies on crop production by small-scale farmers in Borama district. The study specifically sought: to determine influence of; soil conservation on crop production; improved seed on crop production and water conservation on crop production on small scale farmers. The study was guided by the theory of Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) It is conducted through a cross-sectional survey and data was collected from random sample of 191 small scale farmers. The study found that soil conservation (F [1, 189] = 9.084, p = .003, R2 adj = .041); improved seed, (F [1, 189] = 7.999, p = .005, R2 adj = .036); and water conservation, (F [1, 189] = 5.551, p = .019, R2 adj = .023) all had significant influence on crop production of small scale farmers, and respectively account for 4.1 %, 3.6% and 2.3% of the variance in crop production of small scale farmers. The study concluded that soil conservation is the most significant factor influencing crop production. Finally, it recommends promoting and improvement of; soil conservation practices; indigenous seeds and improved hybrid seeds and comprehensive water conservation technology.
