      Аннотация: The branch of Ayurveda which deals with the pharmaceutical preparation of Rasaushdhis is known as Rasa-Shastra (Alchemy). Rasa-Chikitsa was considered to be the most effective and time saving therapy. The preparations used under Rasa-Chikitsa being palatable, be preferred over other formulations for oral administration. Further these preparations have the advantage of being effective in smaller dose than the herbal preparations. In Rasa-Shastra the metals and minerals are also termed as Dhatus and Updhatus because of their specific role in biological system i.e. these can sustain body tissue by supplementing some of the essential elements to the tissues, whose deficiency causes many diseases in the body. Prameha is a metabolic disorder and is diagnosed mainly with the help of signs and symptoms related to ‘Mutra’ (Urine). Injudicious intake of food, sedentary life style, stress, genetic predisposition is some of the important etiological factors of Prameha. Vanga bhasma is mentioned to have high potential to cure Prameha. Present book contains all about detail description of Prameha disease and its management with special reference to Vanga Bhasma.
