Аннотация: Dental enamel is made up of 96 percent of matter which isn’t organic and lesser than 1% organic matter, 50% of which comprises of protein.Phosphoric acid is prevented from etching the enamel surface successfully because of this additional organic layer, resulting in a variable conditioning and an unfavourable surface for adhesion .So, its of importance to eliminate these part from the surface of enamel to improve the the retentive tags of etching, which was the main goal of De-proteinization treatment .The aim of the study was to compare the SBS of Orthodontic brackets adhered on extracted teeth using conventional bonding technique and with pre treatment of the enamel using 5.25% sodium hypochlorite and 10% papain gel.90 extracted teeth were used in this study which was distributed in random into 3 groups . Enamel pre treatment was done using 5.25% sodium hypochlorite and 10% papain gel in the two experimental groups and conventional bonding was done in the control group. The inference of the present study showed that there was a significant elevation in the SBS of Orthodontic brackets bonded after pre treatment of enamel with 5.25%sodium hypoclorite and 10% papain.
