Аннотация: In my book I analysed the relationship between the characters and nature in David Herbert Lawrence's two major works. I chose Lady Chatterlay's Lover and The Virgin and the Gipsy, because they are similar to each other in their topics, and I wanted to show how beautifully could Lawrence wrote about love and emotions by using nature. He was said to be a pornographic writer, but it really was a false notion about him. In my opininon he was a brilliant writer.I wanted to write this thesis according to my own thoughts, my feelings, to emphasis what do these novels mean to me.Sometimes I felt, that the feelings are really mine.I think Lawrence really knew women, and the woman soul, because he wrote these novels the way I felt he speaks from my heart. For me reading these works was a pleasure, and I am sure I will offer them for my students. My aim was to make young people-especially my own pupils- to be interested in reading. I hope those, who are going to read my essay will become interested in these books, and in reading itself, because it really can help us to understand our own feelings, thoughts and can show us the right way to follow.
