Centric Relation in Complete Dentures. A Literature Review

      Аннотация: Centric jaw relation plays a major role in Prosthodontics as a whole and especially in complete denture prosthodontics. It is the most reliable reference position obtainable for occlusal rehabilitation in edentulous patients as there is a loss of proprioception due to the absence of teeth. In such patients, centric relation position helps to guide the patient in a clinically repeatable, recordable and unstrained stable position. The centric record is mandatory and imperative to a successful complete denture. It has over the years evolved to an enigmatic state due to the various views of different authors regarding its location and its recording methods. This book is an attempt to provide a detailed, comprehensive and critical review of centric relation concept.
