Аннотация: This book investigates the suitability of stabilized Expansive soil as construction material in Civil and Geo-environmental engineering applications using the Eko soil enzyme. The expansive soil was stabilized with Eko soil enzyme alone and in combination with Fly ash. The dosage of Eko soil enzyme was maintained at a range varied from 2% to 6% and that of Fly ash at 10% to 50% of the dry weight of Expansive soil. Before the main tests, the basic index and engineering properties of the expansive soil which form the backbone of this research work were studied and these properties were referred to as and when required in the subsequent experimental works to achieve the major objectives of the proposed work. All the properties were studied for samples cured for a period of 0 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 28 days. The strength and deformation characteristics of the stabilized expansive soil were reviewed through Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) and California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Permeability characteristics of the stabilized expansive soil samples were studied for samples cured for 0 days, 7 days 14 days, and 28 days. The concentration of metals was studied for Cd, Cr.

STABILIZATION OF EXPANSIVE SOIL USING FLY ASH..
1905 г.,  68 стр.,  мягкий переплет
The property of expansive soils(mainly Black Cotton soil), in general, is that they are very hard when in a dry state, but they lose all of their strength when in a wet state. In light of this property of expansive soils, these soils pose problems worldwide that serve as a challenge to overcome for Geotechnical engineers. One of the most important...

Stabilization of Expansive Soil with Brick Dust and Lime. .

In India large areas are covered with highly plastic and expansive soil which is not suitable for civil engineering work because expansive soil is weak in strength. Generally, expansive soil swells and shrinks excessively with the change of water content and if any structure is in contact with expansive soil, it experiences differential settlement...
