Аннотация: Bruxism is a potential and causative factor in the temporomandibular joint disorders. The choice of prosthetic treatment depends on analysis and interpretation of the findings that the dentist has acquired during the medical and dental history and the clinical examination. No single treatment is appropriate for all temporomandibular disorder. Therefore making a proper diagnosis becomes an extremely important part of managing the disorders. In many instances the success of the therapy depends not on how well the treatment is performed but instead on how appropriate the therapy is for the disorder. In other words, proper diagnosis is the key to successful treatment.More research, modifications of traditional approaches, and new approaches, are badly needed. In the meantime, a few recent or little-known claims deserve additional study and they may, in the meantime, help in the management of intractable cases.<div><p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Bruxism is a potential and causative factor in the temporomandibular joint disorders.&nbsp; The choice of prosthetic treatment depends on analysis and interpretation of the findings that the dentist has acquired during the medical and dental history and the clinical examination.
