Surface Treatments of Implants. A Literature Review

      Аннотация: Implant dentistry has seen rapid progress in recent years. The surface quality of implants depend on chemical, physical, mechanical and topographical properties of its surface. An ideal implant biomaterial should present a surface that will not disrupt, and that may even enhance the general processes of bone healing regardless of bone quantity and quality. Several macro, micro and nano surface modifications of implants have been discussed in this book which provide a predictable success outcome in achieving osseointegration. <p>Implant dentistry has seen rapid progress in recent years.
