Antibiotics in Pediatric Dentistry. A Comprehensive Overview

      Аннотация: In the domain of modern medicine, antibiotics have been the most widely used prescribed medication. Oral infections leading to various disorders are often seen among children. To understand the antibiotics in Pediatric Dentistry, it was realized that a comprehensive review was required where the various aspects related to the same shall be discussed. This work has been designed in a way so that it can be made reader friendly and have also emphasized on the significant topics regarding the working relation between antibiotics and pediatric dentistry. The division of chapters has been done in a way that it becomes easier for the reader to understand the topics discussed. Various important components like that of “dose calculation”, “choice of antibiotics used” and “antibiotic combination” have been added. Pictorial presentations make the chapters easily understandable In depth knowledge of each antibiotic used in pediatric dentistry for the purpose of treatment is provided including its dosage for children and also the brand names that are available in the market.
