      Аннотация: Emerging digital technologies in the 21st century have led to questions being raised about digital security as children increasingly engage with these emerging technologies for varied reasons. While digital communication technologies are often embedded with varied applications to ensure the safety of users, often users still face various challenges ranging from fraud, cyber-bullying, stalking, identity theft and access to inappropriate content by the children. This book entailed a detailed analysis of digital safety for children online. The study recognized that the appropriation of digital communication technologies by children is a very complex matter that is subject to different analysis and continuous debate among experts. Beyond the details of this debate, a deductive approach towards the definition of online digital communication has been reached that is centered on the perceived idea of internet safety. The main objective of the study was to critically analyze digital communication technology use among children in Kenya. This book is important because it lays the basis for further scholarly work and also informs policy formulation that guides the access of information.
