An Overview on Implant Abutments.

      Аннотация: Dental implant abutments are central to the functional and esthetic aspects of implant treatment as they have a direct impact on the long-term prognosis of treatment modality. There has been an evolution in implant abutment design during the last few years and with an increase in the availability of implant restorative components, the selection of an appropriate implant abutment for a given clinical situation has become more challenging being each one has a different series of variations that make it unique. Implant dentistry nowadays is almost a daily practice in every dental clinic, so it is mandatory for the clinician to get enough knowledge especially about different implant components so as to achieve high success rate of teeth replacement by implants. Understanding about the abutment in detail is an important step in the process of creating the ideal restorative prosthesis.
