Postcolonial Consciousness and Identity Crisis in Rushdie’s Fiction. Shame and The Last Moor's Sign

      Аннотация: Salman Rushdie?s contribution to Indian English Fiction gives full scope to meditate upon social scenario around which is a great thing on the part of an author. The important concepts as “Postcolonial Consciousness? and “Identity crisis? are the major issues of postcolonial literatures especially in Indian context. Rushdie’s two important novels as Shame and The Last Moor's Sigh reflect these issues prominently. Rushdie being an important figure in contemporary Indian English fiction one must read his crucial contribution to literature. The authors have dexterously attempted to analyze the author?s views and present it methodologically. It is also helpful to a fresher in Indian English Literature to get ideas about critical terminologies like postcolonial conscious and identity crisis.
