      Аннотация: The document aims to Provide short overview of food packaging materials and some packaging technologies for the preservation of bio-materials. which used as an input for better understanding for readers, students, researchers, technologist, factory works and other stake holders. Moreover, the document gives a clear insight for further studies to meet the betterment of the sector aiming to food shelf stability taking into account the safety, quality and related regulations to reach of customer. An efficient food packaging provides several functions. It serves as a container to hold and carry the food product as well as a protection of the food from outside contamination by water, light, odours, microorganisms, dust etc and from mechanical damage, thereby preserving the food quality and for communication about the level of ingredients the food contains. The most commonly used materials in food packaging include paper, plastic, metal and glass.
