Аннотация: As the year 2019 approached its end months, there was an arrival of a new viral infection, COVID-19 in Wuhan, China. Nobody had thought that New Year 2020 would rather become a black year in the entire history bringing the Earth to a halt. On 30th January 2020 COVID-19 was declared a public health emergency and on 11th March 2020 it was declared a global pandemic. Almost the entire world came to a standstill and as for us Indians from 25th March 2020 the entire nation underwent lockdown. Millions of people were infected by this viral disease leading to the death of lakhs. The present outbreak of a coronavirus-associated with an acute respiratory disease called coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19) is the third documented spillover of an animal coronavirus to humans in the last two decades that has resulted in a major pandemic the other two being SARS-CoV-1 and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS-CoV) in the years 2003 and 2012 respectively. As of 4th February, 2021 there are total approximately 10.4 cr positive COVID-19 cases globally. The role of Dentists at work to prevent the spread of this disease and to manage patients’ during this crucial time of pandemic is the main concern.
