Аннотация: The supply of potable, wholesome water is an essential duty of all governing bodies. This is a basic right of all human beings. The construction water treatment plant is a costly affair and remains a challenge in front of the governing bodies. Regular maintenance of such plants is also a challenging task. In such a scenario, the rehabilitation & capacity augmentation of existing WTP can be a substantial option. With recent technological advancements in this field, it is quite possible to increase the treatment capacity of the existing plants with very little to no change in the physical dimensions of the existing structure. This book is presenting such an endeavor made to rehabilitate & augment the capacity of one existing water treatment plant in India. The concept explained in the book can be very helpful and easy to replicate to augment the capacity of conventional water treatment plants, particularly in developing countries. Such practice can be very significant where the financial budget may be one of the restrictions to constructing new treatment plants & where old treatment plants are available.
