Economic empowerment of women and long-term economic growth. An analysis on effectiveness of economic empowerment of women for a sustainable economy in South Africa

      Аннотация: There is a considerable number of published studies globally that confirm a substantial link between women’s empowerment and economic growth, however, ‘methodological concerns’ such as the inability to measure growth on unpaid reproductive economy and utilization of cross-country regression analysis which have a substantial impact in all countries but an adverse effect on individual countries due to unobserved variables. Women’s empowerment is viewed as a multi-dimensional concept and continual process with the aim of bettering lives of women and girls. This research assessed the impact of economic empowerment of women on a long- term economic growth in the South African context.
