Аннотация: Chemical Industries produce a large number of products which make invaluable contribution to our daily life and improve the quality of our life and comforts. During the manufacture of these products, the industries release enormous amounts of environmentally harmful wastes and therefore the public image of chemical industries has badly deteriorated in recent years due to concerns of adverse environmental impact. Similarly, research institutes and educational institutions use large amounts of chemicals in their activities. Now, people have realized the importance of protecting environment and many industries have initiated processes involving clean synthesis with minimum wastage. Worldwide demand for environment friendly chemical processes and products require the development of novel and cost effective approaches to pollution prevention. One of the most attractive concepts for pollution prevention is green chemistry. Therefore, in the past two decades there is growing concern towards reckless use of chemicals and indifferent disposal of industrial waste. Green chemistry provides a technical solution to many environmental problems with Cleaner processes and cleaner syntheses.
