Аннотация: Dental caries is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases with loss of dentin, hampering the integrity of the tooth structure to a significant extent. So, the lost dentin must be substituted with an artificial material, for which, many materials are being developed and studied. The trend for selective, minimally invasive caries removal has paved the way for ultraconservative treatment modality where tissues may be sealed and even healed. Biodentine is one such excellent material with micromechanical adhesion to the tooth creating a stable anchorage with a sealing and bacteria inhibitory effect.Given the mechanical properties of Biodentine, it can serve to be a posterior restorative material with excellent pulp healing and dentin replacement there-by making it a very biocompatible material. It is a versatile material used for managing perforations, resorptions and in apexification and as retrograde restoration. This book is a humble attempt at understanding the enormity of this revolutionary versatile material, that is becoming an inseparable and essential companion to the clinician in the present and will continue to do so in the future.
