Аннотация: Many researches that have been carried out have focused on school counseling and youth risky behavior. Little has been done on the influence of parental guidance on the social responsibility of adolescent boys and girls. The book was guided by the following specific objectives to determine the roles of parental guidance and to determine the forms of parental guidance styles and the challenge of parental guidance on the social responsibility of adolescents in public secondary schools in Bungoma East Sub County. The study was based on Baumrind’s theory of parenting styles and social control theory. It used a descriptive survey, correlation designs and had parental guidance as an independent variable and the levels of social responsibility while morality of the adolescents was itemized as dependent variable.
