Recent Research Tools and Techniques in Orthodontics. Towards the new era of orthodontics

      Аннотация: Research in orthodontics has followed the positivist model of direct relationship of cause and effect between diseases and its etiological factors which cause structural and physiological changes within the human body.1. Despite the objectivity and good potential of statistical procedures, quantitative methods are progressively sharing space with other models, mainly due to the former’s inability to overcome the multiple factors that affect the health-disease process, which until that time was reduced to its biological dimension. 2. The recognition of the multifactorial nature of malocclusion highlights the importance of a greater effort to know the variability with which similar stimuli can be interpreted by different individuals. This book throws light on the new technologies and tools that have made there way into orthodontics and thus facilitating easy and proficient diagnosis and treatment plannings.
