A Text Book on Maize. “Origin, Cultivation, Diseases and Management”

      Аннотация: The aim of the book is to establish for students to know about the general introduction of maize and its cultivation. It is also useful for farmers and agricultural research. The subject matter contains all aspects related to maize and it is divided into four sections and presented in a logical sequence so that is easily understandable to all. First section maize at a glance which contains very important general introduction like the origin of maize, botanical description, genome, types of maize, the composition of the edible portion of maize, and maize cultivation. The second section presented all types of diseases that affected maize. These two sections will be very useful for students who are preparing for various competitive exams. Sections three and fourth contain a detailed study of leaf spot disease of maize and its control using herbal bio-formulation which will improve soil fertility and provide protection from health hazards of using chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The last two sections will be very useful for researchers to find tools for sustainable development.
