Аннотация: This is the first edition of a series of chemistry books and is titled as “Graduate Chemistry-1” for undergraduate students of various colleges and universities across the globe. The book is written in a simple and plain language supported by illustrative figures to make it easily comprehensible to beginners in college and university education. The first edition of the series consists of two sections viz. section A covering basics of inorganic chemistry in first 3 chapters and section B covering basic organic chemistry in last 2 chapters. This book introduces the students to basics of quantum mechanical model of structure of atom, chemical bonding viz. ionic bonding, covalent bonding (valence bond and molecular orbital approaches), fundamentals of organic chemistry and basic aspects of stereochemistry. The illustrative figures containing chemical structures and reactions drawn using ChemDraw make the learning chemistry very easy. This book is very suitable for students of B. Sc. Semester-1 or beginners in colleges and universities.
