Аннотация: It is well known that in the ancient world, whose economy was based on slavery, diplomacy became an important factor in determining the foreign policy of states. The system of slavery did not stop development. He went through several processes step by step. The first slave-owning societies, which did not completely get rid of tribal relations, gave an important impetus to the formation of such states as Ancient Egypt, Assyria, the Hittite kingdom, Ancient China, Ancient India. The foreign policy of the states, based on this religious-military rule, was predominantly aggressive. Frequent wars to conquer new lands, capture slaves and livestock, and plunder wealth. Such wars were the only way to solve international problems. With the gradual consolidation of slavery, the need arose for diplomatic relations between states. The great rulers of the Ancient East began to pay special attention to resolving certain mutual issues through diplomacy. Marriage diplomacy has taken its place in international relations.
