INTERDISCIPLINARY ORTHODONTICS.

      Аннотация: Orthodontics is a specialty that deals with diagnosis and treatment planning of different malocclusions and skeletal abnormalities, most of the time there is a need for interdisciplinary intervention in various conditions for better prognosis and outcome of the treatment. The most common objectives of an orthodontic treatment or facial and dental aesthetics and the improvement in the masticatory function. No longer can one discipline, manage the patient seeking maximal esthetic results. Obtaining that perfect smile is more complex than just aligning the teeth. Thus, the concept of interdisciplinary treatment was developed to maximize treatment results by optimally synergizing the knowledge, skill, and experience of all the disciplines in dentistry and its associated fields, while minimizing the frustrating and problematic shortcomings of unidisciplinary therapy. In today's esthetic environment the orthodontic specialty focuses on interdisciplinary treatment planning.
