Аннотация: There are a number of challenges in providing health, mental health and psychosocial support assistance in humanitarian emergencies. The authors have taken the example of recent COVID-19 outbreak as health emergency and they discuss common challenges related to this outbreak that were encountered by most of the countries in the world. There are also a number of challenges in providing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) assistance in humanitarian emergencies. In this book, the authors present examples of some of these challenges that they encountered while providing MHPSS assistance in humanitarian emergencies in different low and middle-income (LAMI) countries after natural and / or manmade disasters. The information presented here was collected from the field and relevant national and global sources and published in relevant peer-reviewed journals. We believe that this book will be the helpful resource for organizations and individuals who encounter similar challenges in providing health, mental health and psychosocial assistance in humanitarian emergencies.
