Аннотация: Dental tourism is an important segment of the growing health tourism industry. Patients generate relevant tourism revenues for the destination country beyond the direct income of the dental clinics. This book illustrates the history of dental tourism, its development globally and elaborates dental tourism in the diverse subcontinent- India. The first part of the book traces the development of dental tourism, objectives and functioning of the sector arriving at the conclusion that the treatment element still dominates the tourism experience. The question therefore arises whether a more destination based strategy would allow for a sustainable future of the industry in India. To respond to this question, the second part of the book models the initiative, advantages and challenging issues that can be faced by dentists or dental companies in attracting tourists post Covid-19 era. Finally discussing the need of the hour to continue the boom of dental tourism in our country.
