Аннотация: Crime is committed all over the world. Among them, crime of arson and fire undoubtedly always remains challenging for forensic expert to investigate. Arson have been done for seeking revenge for claiming insurance benefits or to damage the property for personal benefits also to wipe out the evidences after any crime has been committed. A fire on the other hand can be natural or accidental without actual human intervention. For identification of common type of problems happening in field of fire and arson it becomes very pertinent to know the cause of fire which determines whether the particular case is of fire or arson in nature. Fire patterns studied and presented here will help in knowing about the multiple seats of fire and presence of accelerant and its identification which points out, whether it is a case of arson or fire. Often fire investigators have tough task dealing with an arson cases due to possible destruction and movement of valuable evidences as result of steps taken by the locals and fire fighters to douse the fire. The vital information get lost and arson investigators are left with sometimes analyzing complex patterns by defining hypotheses to solve the crime.
