They help to determine the amount of space available, weather in the mandibular or maxillary arch, for the accommodation of unerupted teeth, usually the canines and premolars. An accurate analysis is one important criterion in determining whether the treatment plan may involve serial extraction, guidance of eruption, space maintenance, space regaining, or just periodic observation of the patient.In this manual various Mixed Dentition space analysis and Regression Equations have been highlighted with newer advancements in order to evaluate space analysis more effectively.
