      Аннотация: This book opens with the description of the geographical location of South Africa. It then discusses the early inhabitants, the Khoi Khoi and Hottentots, their appearance and their way of living. The book discusses the Nguni speaking peoples how and where they developed kingdoms in South Africa. It keeps accounts of the Boer and British settlements and explains how they struggled with each other to establish there dominance over ownership of land, and mineral resources such as diamonds and gold. It traces the development of mines and subsequent mineral revolution. Diamond was discovered in the Cape in 1867 while gold was discovered on the Rand in Transvaal in 1886, the British dominated in the Cape colony while the Boers dominated the Rand. The book gives a detailed account of conflicts between the two White groups. And also it explains the wars that were fought between the two races in South Africa. The Boers introduced the policy of Apartheid that entailed encouragement of separate development by enforcing separate development and segregation in all walks of life. The text book also gives account of how Africans were mistreated on account of their colour.
