Аннотация: The work Africa: from nations to nation-states attempts to add a voice in the quest for an understanding of the milead problems of post-colonial Africa. The study puts emphasis on National Cohesion in Kenya, which the author believes was and remains a rare ingredient in the development of the new nations on the continent. Africa has suffered since time man started walking on the earth. At first it was known as a source of slaves then it was parceled out into European possessions called colonies. Like they share turkey at Christmas the Europeans divided Africa among their nations for purposes of exploitation. The result of colonization in Africa is the problem of ethnicity, tribal hatred, clanism and squabbles in the so-called republics in miserable Africa, which are nothing but products of colonialism. These problems are all the result of lack of national cohesion among the tribes Europeans gathered together, which, if put in practice at independence in Africa by the very independence leaders, the continent would have been saved a lot of the pains it has suffered so far. The placy is now a bloody continent, swimming in poverty and characterized by ethnic and clan violence!
