PAEK – APPLICATIONS IN PROSTHODONTICS.

      Аннотация: Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) is an emerging material in dentistry with wide applications in prosthodontics. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and Polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) are the two most extensively explored members of PAEK family in this field. Properties of these materials like their modulus of elasticity, light weight, biocompatibility, white color, easy and versatile fabrication procedures, etc are working as the backbone for their success in the field. Various applications of these materials in prosthodontics can be seen in Removable partial dentures, Tooth supported fixed dental prosthesis, Implantology, Post and cores, Richmond crowns, Endocrowns, maxillofacial prosthesis, Occlusal splints, and Complete dentures. Detail of these applications have been discussed in the book along with the future scope of these materials in the field of prosthodontics.
