It could ruin every part of a person's life, including their sense of self-worth and relationships with other people. Because of infertility, many couples can't have children. This puts a lot of stress on their relationships with each other and often leads to feelings of emotional unhappiness and moments of existential crisis. One of the hardest things for a childless couple to do is to get used to not having children, both for themselves and for their partner and for society as a whole. When a partner gets this kind of diagnosis, they usually feel frustrated, angry, or guilty. Women may feel like they aren't feminine, and men may feel like they aren't masculine and have no power. In some cases, not being able to have children is one of the main reasons why a couple decides to split up. Having medical infertility can be very stressful because some of the treatments can be painful, and there is always the chance that the treatment will not work. Also, the possible side effects of the drugs and the need to repeat treatments can test a couple's patience.
